Single Cell Portal enables the discovery and exploration of many datasets. Upon visiting SCP, you may find an interesting view of the data you'd like to return to or share with a colleague. Or you might have set up a useful search that you'd like to periodically repeat to see if new data that matches your criteria has been added to the Portal.
To create bookmarks, you must log into SCP. Once created, your bookmarks are accessible from any device that can visit a web page.
Study search bookmarks
To save a set of criteria for study search on the SCP home page, choose your search criteria of interest. A hollow star icon will appear next to the resulting search summary. Click on the Star icon to open the Bookmark creation form.
Provide a name for your search and, optionally, write a description to help you remember the significance of the search. Click Save and the search criteria will be preserved for future use. Note that only the search criteria is saved, the search results may change over time as datasets are added to SCP.
Cross-study gene search bookmarks
Once you're satisfied with your study search results, you can look at the expression level of your favorite gene for those studies. With a chosen set of study search criteria,
- Click on the Search genes tab to perform a gene search limited to the studies found in your study search.
- The combined study and gene search criteria can also be saved as a bookmark by clicking the star icon and creating a bookmark as described above.
