Collections overview

Collections in Single Cell Portal provide a cohesive view of studies from specific consortia, projects, and labs. A single URL can now guide researchers to a curated body of research, the Collection home page, where collection studies can be searched and interactively visualized.

Create a collection

If you're interested in forming a collection, submit a request and include:

• Collection name
• "Tag line" - a one-sentence description of the collection, which will appear on the Collections page

Once the collection has been created, the requestor will be assigned as the collection curator. You can add additional curators to the collection by editing the Collection.  Landing pages for individual collections can be customized to reflect the origin of the studies by editing the Collection configuration.  

Collection curators can add studies to the collection as long as they own the study or have been granted edit access to the study.
